Volunteers get it done!
The goal of Scioto County Habitat for Humanity is decent, affordable housing for first-time householders. Since it's inception, the local "Habitat" has averaged a house or a fraction of a house each year. In 2006 thanks to wonderful volunteers the group has build two (2) homes. The expectation for 2007 is at least two (2) more! Do you know someone who would be a candidate for a home, interest-free?Make a difference Volunteers choose the amount of time they want to give. Some work once a month, some twice a week. It is up to you. You do not have to be experienced to fill any volunteer position, and on the construction site, we require no prior knowledge of construction. There will be opportunities for you to learn skills.
